Pundits on the internet reckon they have found Elon Musk’s burner Twitter account where he uses to comment on news about crypto. In fact, it was Musk himself who appears to have accidentally revealed the burner account. In a screenshot he shared on his official Twitter account, eagle-eyed users noticed that Musk allegedly owns another Twitter account.

First noticed by YouTube content creators The Serfs TV, the account ‘@ErmnMusk’ appears to be a “secret alternative account” where Musk “pretends to be a child version of himself.”

After some thorough digging, ‘ErmnMusk’ was uncovered.

The account’s display name, ‘Elon Test’, further confirms users’ suspicions that it might be the Twitter CEO’s second account that he uses to… comment on crypto news and write strange replies.

“Do you like Japanese girls?”

The ErmnMusk account has sent out 23 tweets so far, many of which are tweets reacting to news in the crypto industry. On November 13th, 2022, amid FTX’s collapse, ErmnMusk replied to a tweet that showed a photo of Caroline Ellison.

“I ❤️ librarians,” the account wrote.

On November 13th, 2022, ErmnMusk replied to a tweet by the official Elon Musk account. The tweet itself was a reply to OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, with a meme of FTX founder Sam Bankman-Fried. “Is this a real peon video?” the account responded.

In other words, Musk appears to have replied to his own tweet.

Also on November 13th, 2022, ErmnMusk replied to a tweet by hardcore Bitcoiner and former MicroStrategy CEO Michael Saylor.

“Do you like Japanese girls?” ErmnMusk wrote.

New Elon coin created

Shortly after the discovery, a new crypto token named after the alleged burner account, $ERMN, was created.

The creator behind $ERMN is unknown. However, according to DEX Screener, the coin is currently trading for US$0.08134 per token (AU$0.12), and has a market cap of US$81,000 (AU$122,000). Not bad for a magic coin created out of thin air hours ago.

Twitter users are not amused

ErmnMusk’s latest tweet was on April 25, where the account wrote: “I will finally turn 3 on May 4th!” Elon Musk’s son, X AE A-XII Musk, was born on May 4th, 2020.

The account has over 39,000 followers at the time of writing. ErmnMusk follows only 34 users, including Donald Trump, Marc Andreessen, Taylor Swift, and Kim Kardashian.

Elon Musk’s alleged burner account has attracted criticism from Twitter users, with many expressing disbelief over what is perceived to be the Tesla CEO “roleplaying” as his son, X.

“WHAT THE FUCK IS HE DOING MAN!” commented content creator RealYouTubeKids.

“Can we put this guy in jail yet,” anonymous podcaster June wrote.

Musk himself has yet to address news surrounding his burner account.
