Okay, now that you have caught up, here’s what Neuralink could theoretically offer people wanting more from their sex lives. This might be in our imagination at this stage, but Elon needs to take it as a clear signal of market demand.
Some experts think that the ground-breaking implant could totally transform human sexuality.
Musk says his goal with Neuralink is primarily to connect human brains to artificial intelligence. He says that it could liberate people with severe paralysis by enabling them to control robotic arms and perhaps even entire exoskeletons in the future.
But humans are just a bunch of dirty animals, and we are already ahead of him.
Neuralink orgasms: Sexy times, brain sex, and orgasms
We already know that stimulation of certain areas of our brains can give us spontaneous orgasms.
Strangely, Dr Stuart Meloy developed a device that could bring about orgasms in the brains of his patients. Originally designed to give pain relief, he accidentally discovered it could trigger orgasms if he hit the wrong part of the brain while using it (but we all know it was the right part of the brain).
Meloy told New Scientist, “we implanted electrodes into the spine and used electrical pulses to modify the pain signals passing along the nerves. I was placing the electrodes and suddenly the woman started exclaiming emphatically, ‘You’re going to have to teach my husband to do that’.”
Meloy had accidentally sent the woman to orgasm central by connecting his pain management tool to a specific spot.
Now spin that in a Neuralink context. If the chip can help bring mobility back to limbs and sight back to eyes, then it is entirely possible that the chip could give us orgasms on demand.
