Web3 events: The crypto industry is one that mostly revolves around remote collaboration — spanning decentralised networks of both blockchains and communities across the country and globe.

But this week saw hundreds of Web3 enthusiasts gather together in person to celebrate International Women’s Day and the increased participation of more women in this sector.

There’s plenty more events coming up in the next few weeks — and today we’re bringing you some of the latest blockchain industry events in the pipeline, some featuring your fam of The Chainsaw.

Web3 events: Fireblocks Labs: a hands-on workshop on Web3

Taking place in Melbourne on Tuesday the 14th of March and in Sydney on Thursday the 16th of March, Fireblocks will be hosting two Lab workshops where participants can learn how to create their own tokens and build Web3 projects.

The sessions are designed in that no prior experience is necessary to attend, and is aimed at anyone looking to launch stablecoins, security tokens, Web3 games and decentralised applications, mint and burn NFTs or build NFT-based loyalty programs and NFT marketplaces.

The events will be followed by a happy hour for attendees to meet fellow industry participants over drinks and canapés.

Web3 events: CX3: one for the new and curious

On March the 20th, a killer line-up is en route for CX3, a one-day event by Web3 agency Mooning and Coraid Digital, with support from Pullman Hotels and Metakey. Attendees can expect to hear from some of the brightest minds in the space, including Matty Soudagar from Metakey, Ridley Plummer of Tennis Australia, David Ellis of the AFL, Kate Cooper from NAB, Drew Fairchild of Top Shelf, Karl Mohan from Crypto.com, Leanne Bats of New Zealand Rugby, Colin Banville of Salesforce and more.

Dialling in from abroad includes CEO of Animoca Robby Yung, Neal Hubman, the VP of Global Client Solutions at Reddit, Sebastien Borgot of The Sandbox as well as Helene Labaume who leads innovation at retail giant Carrefour.

Top cricketer Nathan Lyon will also be holding a Q&A during the VIP lunch to share his performance tips and discuss his upcoming digital membership platform for sports.

According to Lisa Teh, founder of Mooning, the event is aimed at demystifying the complexities of Web3 for Web2 leaders, allowing newcomers to learn from and network with some of the leading voices in the space.

“We know how hard it is when you first enter the Web3 space. There is an overwhelming amount of information from so many different sources,” Teh shared. “I hope people can walk away feeling educated, inspired and excited to start exploring.”

Blockchain Week: something for everyone

Announced by Australia’s peak industry body for businesses implementing or evaluating distributed ledger technology, Blockchain Australia, Blockchain Week 2023 is returning from June the 26th to the 30th.

While more details are yet to be announced, the major event will take place across four capital cities of Australia. Last year, Blockchain Week saw industry experts and commentators including Senator Jane Hume, Shadow Minister for Financial Services and the Digital Economy, Senator Andrew Bragg, Liberal Senator of New South Wales, James Ferguson of Immutable, Kain Warwick of Synthetix and more.

Brisbane Web3 Cruise: cruise down the river for a vibing boat party

Founders of NFT projects and blockchain businesses will be cruising along the Brisbane River on Saturday the 22nd of April for a night of food, drinks and music in an event run by Brisbane Web3 and Swyftx.
